Sturdy Food lasts

This is a great chicken feeder. Can't be knocked down or walked on. Can be hung where chickens can't poop. Might be slightly better with a top but excellent and high quality product. Highly recommended

This is the perfect feeder in my opinion. I place it inside a black rubber fortex bowl that is a little bigger around than the feeder.
The rubber bowl keeps them from wasting feed. If I do hang the feeder I hang it low inside the bowl. You can also use an oil pan with a 3-4 inch lip.
I use it for my chicks and adults, too! I place a Sara Lee pie pan in the top of it (bending it a little) to keep the chicks out of the feeder.

i got 20 leghorn chickens. and i had bought one just like this at tractor supply. it works great. it keeps the food in., they can't peck it out like they did with the regular feeders..
