Great price, easy assembly, and works perfectly. Connected to 55 gallon barrel, so much better than the 3gallon waters.
ProsPrice, ease of assembly and installation
ConsI had a couple used ones and the valve will freeze and crack in freezing temperatures, but that is expected.

Figured out how to put it together pretty fast, only one complaint. The float came out of box crushed ( not your fault)
excited to give it a try w/ all the positive reviews. Hope to get the new float and get it fired up. With the heat we get here hope to achive fresh water. Will run the low pressure line in conduit underground.

Overall a great waterer, but they really need to give you instructions on how it all goes together. If you're mechanical you can figure it out after a little fiddling and fitting. ONE IMPORTANT NOTE: This waterer will not fit in a 24 inch tall pen and have any adjustment to raise it up as the chicks grow. So if you're planning on putting this in a Salatin-style pasture pen, it won't work. Plasson makes a good one specifically for broilers that are shorter and work well in a short pen.

Great product once I figured out how to adjust the water level. A diagram and adjustment sheet would be helpful.

This is my second unit -- I have a new cage section that I wanted to keep separate. The first one has functioned flawlessly for over a year so I know I'll have great results with the second one. Now if I only had an automatic feeder, I would never need to go down to the chicken coop . But I like to visit my birds anyway at least once if not twice a day.
I would be good to have a short instruction sheet. The design is a bit "non-obvious" when it comes in the box.

These products are a heaven sent due to the elimination of daily having to go clean the chickens water dish. If you set it up correctly you can check the condition of their water without ever setting foot in the chicken coop, and you can even give them medication through their water supply. Cool product.
